Position: Experienced Dance Teacher

Key Responsibilities
-
Teach dance classes in a variety of styles, including ballet, contemporary, hip hop, and modern.

Create and implement student-centered lessons that draw from your extensive professional experience.

Mentor students in their artistic journey, encouraging personal and technical growth.

Collaborate with fellow faculty to support Warmland’s unique interdisciplinary approach to dance education.

Provide qualitative feedback and holistic assessments for student development.

Support assistant teachers and contribute to faculty planning.

Choreograph for performances and competitions.​
Qualifications

Professional Dance Experience: Substantial experience as a professional dancer (e.g., company work, tours, or equivalent roles) with a strong ability to integrate real-world knowledge into the classroom.

Teaching Certification: Recognized dance teaching certifications (e.g., Royal Academy of Dance, or equivalent).

Holistic Teaching Philosophy: A commitment to educating the whole dancer—mind, body, and spirit.

Innovative & Creative: Skilled in designing engaging, interdisciplinary lessons.

Community Focus: A dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Established Industry Standing: We seek candidates with significant professional experience outside of the traditional studio or classroom setting.

Eligibility to Work in Canada: Must be currently qualified to work and live in Canada.
