What is Company?

The Warmland Youth Company is a competitive opportunity for skilled, committed dancers training in an intensive choreography-based program with world-class choreographers.

Company dancers build confidence, leadership, and stage experience through competitions, workshops, and community performances.

Qualifications

Company is by audition only. Students are typically invited after two consecutive years of ballet or jazz training at grade 3 or equivalent, at the discretion of the Artistic Director.

Commitment

Competitive Company (Junior, Novice, Senior, Tap Company)

  1. Train in ballet and jazz technique.
  2. Train in at least one additional dance style.
  3. Attend twice-weekly rehearsals, tech classes, and all scheduled performances.

Pre-Company

  1. Train in ballet and jazz.
  2. Attend weekly rehearsals and all scheduled performances.

Additional Expectations

  1. Maintain excellent attendance in rehearsals and classes.
  2. Stay in good academic standing.
  3. Wear proper attire at all times.
  4. Demonstrate positive attitude, camaraderie, and commitment to growth.
  5. Do not train, perform, or audition with another competitive organization outside Warmland Dance.
