A fun and playful introduction to dance for young children. Classes focus on movement, rhythm, coordination, creativity, and building confidence in a positive environment.
Ballet builds strong technique, grace, posture, and discipline. Dancers learn foundational movements and terminology while developing strength, flexibility, and musicality.
Jazz is energetic, expressive, and full of style. Classes focus on technique, turns, leaps, flexibility, and performance quality through upbeat and dynamic movement.
Tap teaches dancers to create rhythm and sound with their feet. Classes build timing, coordination, musicality, and precision while making dance both challenging and fun.
Lyrical and contemporary blend technique with emotion and storytelling. Dancers explore fluid movement, musical interpretation, and self-expression while building strength and control.
Musical theatre combines dance, acting, and performance. Dancers build stage presence, character, and confidence while learning routines inspired by Broadway-style productions.
Hip hop is high-energy, athletic, and fun. Classes focus on rhythm, groove, coordination, and confidence while learning age-appropriate street-style movement and choreography.
A truly unique offering in the Cowichan Valley — our certified Cirque instructors guide students through aerial silks, acrobatics, and circus arts in a safe, encouraging environment.
Adult classes offer a welcoming space to move, learn, and have fun. Whether beginner or experienced, dancers can build fitness, confidence, and technique in a supportive environment.
Elite Training
The Warmland Youth Company was formed as a competitive opportunity, bringing together skilled, committed dancers in an intensive and dynamic choreography-based program. Dancers will train and collaborate in an enriched environment, exclusively with world class choreographers. These dancers are highly driven, build confidence, and develop leadership skills to inspire others through a variety of performances, competitions and workshops. Company members are expected to represent Warmland Dance in the greater community with a positive attitude, and high level of ethic.
Company is by audition only. Students are invited to audition if they have trained for at least two consecutive years in either of classical ballet or jazz at grade 3 or higher, (or equivalent, at the discretion of the Artistic Director).
