Under 5 Programs

About

These programs are the heart of our studio community. The instructors at Warmland Dance recognize the importance of developmental movement throughout early childhood.

What to expect from class:

Our classes lovingly introduce children to a teacher-led setting, provide positive social opportunities, seamlessly and playfully reinforce healthy motor development, encourage optimal neurological development, and provide a foundation for movement fluency. Our focus is fostering joy, confidence and a lifelong love of movement.

Musical Movement

This is the "Waldorf inspired" class led by Leah Burley. Parents typically participate in the Preschool classes. Developmentally mindful, story-based movement journeys, with elements coming from the Waldorf pedagogy. Combine instruments, silk scarves, hula hoops, balance beams, tumbling mats, singing, storytelling, recorded music and more as children explore relationship to one-another and the space. Children experience following the lead of a teacher, often for the first time. *Non-performance. Parents welcome, but not required.
